Come to Ansonia High School tonight at 6 p.m. for a Valley-wide celebration of the arts.
The event will showcase the talent of young people from all over the area.
It is being sponsored by the Youth Services Bureaus of Ansonia and Derby.
Recently, John Saccu, director of the Derby Youth Services Bureau, stopped by the Valley Indy to record a podcast to talk about tonight’s event.

“Mayor David Cassetti is pleased to announce that Ansonia High School will be hosting the Valley Celebration of the Arts on May 8 sponsored by the Ansonia and Derby Youth Services.
This celebration will bring together students from the following six Valley High Schools: Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, Shelton, and Woodland.
The art show will also include a concert by the Valley Honors Choir conducted by Cory Granschow, assistant professor at Western Connecticut State University.
The art show will be judged by Valley teachers.
Refreshments prepared by Ansonia High School culinary arts students will be available.”
