Police: ‘Inappropriate Contact’ With Underage Boy Leads To Arrest

A 54-year-old Norwalk resident is charged with violating his probation after police said he was having inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old boy.

Brian Corringham was arrested early Monday, according to a statement prepared by Det. Ben Trabka.

Corringham posted a $50,000 bond and is due in court again Thursday to enter a plea, according to court records.

Corringham was initially placed on three years probation in January 2008 after pleading guilty to risk of injury to a child. The initial charge was lodged after Corringham tried to get teen boys at Indian Well State Park to pose for pictures.

He lived in Shelton at the time of that 2006 arrest.

He was arrested again May 21 after his probation officers determined he was not complying with his probation orders. Authorities said Corringham continually visited porn sites on the Web, which he’s not supposed to do.

Corringham pleaded not guilty to that charge. He could face five years in jail if convicted.

Corringham’s latest arrest happened after the parents of a 15-year-old boy called Shelton police and complained that Corringham was having unsupervised and inappropriate contact with their son,” police said.

Police also obtained a search warrant for his Norwalk residence, where they allegedly found pornographic material.

The latest crime allegedly happened July 14, according to court records.
