The City of Ansonia took the unusual step Saturday night announcing the mayor wanted to close 232 Main Street, a bar/restaurant.

“Also, I will be meeting with our PD and building officials to close 232 Main Street until further notice,” a quote attributed to Mayor David Cassetti said.

The Facebook post did not elaborate on what legal grounds the city would be using. The post also described the shootings as “isolated incidents.”
