ANSONIA — Police said two girls ran from the Ansonia Middle School parking lot Tuesday night after a stranger in a SUV told them to get into his vehicle.
The incident was reported about 8 p.m. Police described the vehicle as a smaller, black SUV with tinted rear windows. The driver was described as a Black male wearing a red hat and gold rim glasses.
“Anyone with information is asked to call the Ansonia Police Department at 203 – 735-1885 or tips can be left anonymously through Tip411,” police said in a statement.
The girls were ages 11 and 12. Ansonia Middle School is on Day Street.
