SEYMOUR — Police Tuesday released the name of the man killed after a motorcycle accident on Route 67 Sunday.
The man, 73-year-old Francis ‘Frank’ Markey of Beacon Falls, died after a crash involving a vehicle being driven by an 18-year-old Oxford woman.
Police said Markey was traveling north on North Street at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday when he collided with a vehicle heading west on Route 67.
The incident remains under investigation, so the cause of the crash has not been released.
Markey succumbed to his injuries after being taken to a hospital.

Markey was born in Canada in 1946 and moved to the U.S. in 1962, according to his obituary.
He lived in Beacon Falls for the last decade. He lived in Naugatuck for the previous 30 years, and served in the Army National Guard. He was a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, and his son, Fran, and his daughter, Janice Perez, along with their spouses Mary and Mike. Markey had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Please click here to read the full obituary.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for today (Wednesday, Aug. 14) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home at 82 Fairview Ave. in Naugatuck.
