SEYMOUR — Police are investigating a two-car crash that sent two drivers to the hospital Monday.
Police, fire, and EMS responded to a report of a rollover wreck at 2:41 p.m. on Rimmon Road (Route 313).
A preliminary investigation revealed a man driving a Subaru was moving erratically on the road heading west when it crossed over the double-yellow line and sideswiped a Saturn heading in the opposite direction.
The impact caused the Saturn — which was carrying a woman and two infants — to flip over.
The woman was sent to the hospital, but police said her injuries aren’t life threatening. The infants were OK, and were checked out by medical personnel.
The Subaru driver was taken to the hospital, but his injuries aren’t life-threatening, either.
Anyone with information regarding this crash (or anyone who spotted an erratic driver on Rimmon Road in Woodbridge or Seymour Monday afternoon) should call Seymour Police Commander David Parratt at 203 – 881-7610.
Police did not release names. The crash caused the road to be closed until 8 p.m. Monday.
