Police: Walmart Employee Said He Showed Porn To Other Girls

Shelton police have pretty good reason to believe Ryan Davies, the Ansonia man arrested at the Bridgeport Avenue Walmart last week for allegedly showing a pornographic video to a 10-year-old girl, has done the same thing before.

Why? He told them so.

He admitted that he’s done this numerous times to other young girls in Walmart,” Detective Ben Trabka said Monday. We’re looking for people to come forward.”

Trabka asked anyone who believes Davies might have shown inappropriate materials to minors to call police at 203 – 924-1544 with any details.

Davies, 20, surrendered to police last Thursday (August 2) after learning they had obtained a warrant for his arrest charging him with risk of injury to a minor and second-degree breach of peace.

He posted a $5,000 bond in the case and is due to appear at Superior Court in Derby August 16.

Trabka said Monday that during the police probe of the June 22 incident he was charged with last week, Davies was questioned and confessed to showing the girl the pornographic video.

He admitted that he did this and he admitted that he’s done it in the past,” Trabka said.

The detective said police do not have a precise idea of how many victims there could be who haven’t come forward. He just said he had done it to other little girls,” Trabka said.

In the June 22 incident, the 10-year-old girl was shopping at Walmart with her mother and got separated.

They were in two different aisles, and (Davies) was working as an associate on the floor,” Trabka said. That’s when he approached the girl and showed her the pornography on his cell phone.”

Police do not believe any other suspects were involved, and said Walmart officials were cooperative with the probe.

They were very helpful with the investigation,” Trabka said.
