Progress In Oxford, None In Seymour

A glance at the number of Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating customers shows progress in Oxford since Monday morning.

In Oxford, 1,248 customers have been brought back online since Monday morning

Seymour remains at 100 percent without electricity. In Ansonia, Derby and Shelton, the numbers are low — but they haven’t gone down since Monday afternoon.

CL&P began releasing restoration estimates for towns on its website Tuesday morning. However, Beacon Falls, Oxford and Seymour are not listed.

Restoration estimates for those three towns could be released Wednesday, according to a message on the utility company’s website.

The numbers at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning were:

Ansonia: 132 UI customers out, or 1.5 percent of all UI customers in Ansonia

Beacon Falls: 2658 or 99 percent

Derby: 49 or .5 percent

Oxford: 4018 or 76 percent (down from 100 percent Monday morning)

Seymour: 7469 or 100 percent

Shelton: 140 or .85 percent of town

****Seymour officials sent out a message Monday evening saying it could be as long as five days until power is restored.
