Public Hearing On Ansonia Budget Scheduled For April 27

ANSONIA — A public hearing on the proposed Ansonia budget is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 27.

The public hearing will be held on Zoom in front of the Board of Aldermen, the group that votes on the budget.

The proposed $59.2 million budget, as is, holds the line on taxes, and keeps the existing mill rate at 37.80 mills.

BOAT voted to pass the budget to the Board of Aldermen March 30, according to meeting minutes dated April 16.

The latest version of the budget was not yet on the city’s website Tuesday.

The Aldermen are tentatively scheduled to vote on the budget May 11.
