The state Department of Transportation and officials from the Valley Council of Governments held a public hearing Tuesday on the plan to expand Route 34 in downtown Derby.

A long-awaited vision of improved traffic flow on Main Street was unveiled at a public hearing Tuesday at City Hall.
About 40 people attended the hearing on the reconstruction of Route 34. It was held by the state Department of Transportation and the Valley Council of Governments.
