Rep. Rochelle To Host ‘Future Fair’ In Ansonia

State Representative Kara Rochelle (D, Ansonia/Derby) will host the first Future Fair,” an event open to the public highlighting opportunities for residents to build a stronger future for themselves and the community.

The event takes place Saturday, Nov. 2, from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Emmet O’Brien Technical High School in Ansonia.

There will be something of interest for all ages from games for kids and college savings information for parents to health screenings for seniors; from job-training information to resources for small businesses. Area non-profits will also be on hand for those who are interested in how they can help build a stronger community, for those seeking assistance, or both.

The event will also feature organizations that help shape the community including Team Inc., Valley United Way, the Valley Fire Chiefs Regional Fire School and many more. Various state agencies will also be on hand, from mental health to consumer protection, business resources to family financial planning.

The Women’s Business Development Council will be there along with the Connecticut Department of Economic Development, Housatonic Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Program, the Valley Arts Council, and myriad of others

I’m proud to bring together this event which will focus on the tools and resources available to the people of the 104th, along with the ways in which we can collaborate to build a stronger community and future together,” Representative Rochelle said. Future Fair really will have a lot to offer. Whether you’re looking to start a career or an adult mid-career and looking to transition; whether you’re a family looking to make ends meet a bit easier or to get more involved in local volunteerism; if curious what resources are available to grow your business, or seeking a fun excursion for the family, there will be something for everyone at Future Fair.”

The event is free and open to the public. Media is invited to attend.
