SEYMOUR – Animal lovers State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria (R‑105) and Seymour First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis are partnering to host a one-day pet food donation drive from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Seymour Stop & Shop on Sunday, January 28th.
“Taking care of our community means making sure people’s pets are safe and cared for, and we’re happy to collect much-needed food and supplies to assist those who need help,” Rep. Klarides-Ditria (R‑105) said. “With inflation pushing prices higher it’s harder for those who are already struggling financially to afford pet supplies, and your donations will help alleviate a burden and keep pets and families together.”
“With colder temperatures arriving and household budgets stretched tight it’s more important than ever to support everyone in our community, including the furry family members,” First Selectwoman Drugonis said. “Every donation will make a difference right here in our community.”
All donations will directly benefit Coco’s Animal Rescue Efforts of Seymour (C.A.R.E.S.) located at 115 Silvermine Road, Seymour, CT 06483
For food, C.A.R.E.S. said they could specifically use:
- Purina ONE Kitten dry
- Purina ONE Kitten wet
- Iams sensitive stomach and skin adult dry
- Purina ONE adult wet PATE only (we have picky cats)
- Fancy Feast adult wet PATE any flavor
