ANSONIA – A man accused of murdering his wife with an ax while his children were in the home may present an insanity defense, The Connecticut Post reported.
Kamil Zielinski, 30, is charged with murder and risk of injury to a minor in connection to the 2021 killing of Grace Zielinska.
Grace was a mother to three children, ages 5, 3 and four months at the time of her murder.
Zielinski, who previously rejected a plea deal that called for 45 years in prison, was in court on Sept. 24, The Connecticut Post reported, where his lawyer indicated an insanity defense and a trial before a three-judge panel are on the table.
