Update: New Haven Man Shot Overnight In Ansonia

ANSONIA — A 19-year-old man was shot in the foot overnight in Ansonia, according to a prepared statement from police.

Police said they received 911 calls at about 1 a.m. reporting gunshots in the area of Wakelee Avenue and Clarkson Street. 

“Responding officers located a 19 year-old male from New Haven at the corner of Clarkson Street and Holbrook Street. The male had been shot once in the foot,” according to police. 

The victim has not provided police with information, according to the statement.
