I live on Wakelee Avenue and on June 22 around 9 p.m. it appeared that Mother Nature was very upset with Ansonia.
A piece of a neighbor’s tree fell into the power lines, knocking out power. The street was closed down for a time.
I would really like to thank the Ansonia Public Works Department for doing such a great cleanup and United Iluminating for restoring power back so quickly.
I don’t think the APW gets enough recognition in situations like this. Again, thanks for the great, quick cleanup — finally tax dollars put to good use.
