SHELTON — Ridge Remodeling won game 2 and the championship in the best of 3 series over Retro Grub and Pub in the Shelton Men’s Over-35 League last month.

The game was back and forth for the first 5 innings, until Ridge went up by 10 in the top of the 6th. Needing 1 run to keep the game going and not get run-ruled, Retro plated 3 runs with 2 outs to force the game to continue to the 7th inning.

Ridge added one more in the top of the 7th to go up 8, but Retro roared back by batting around, scoring 8 runs to tie the game and force extra innings.

Ridge scored 1 to take the lead. Retro threatened with 2 outs and runners on first and second, but was unable to bring in the tying run.

Final score 20 – 19. The game lasted 1.5 hours and was at East Village Park upper field.

Ridge finished the regular season with a record of 11 – 0 in the B Division, Retro finished 9 – 2. Both teams will continue to compete in the B Division of the Shelton Men’s Fall League.
