The United Illuminating Company (UI) is scheduled to do work on Indian Well Road on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.
UI crews are scheduled to work during the day from 09:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Motorists should expect an approximate fifteen minute delay during the working period. School buses will be delayed approximately five minutes during this period. There will be no delay for any emergency service vehicle.
UI will return to the same area again later in the evening from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. During these late night hours, the road will be closed to all traffic expect emergency service vehicles. Also during this time period, EMS and the Fire Department will have personnel and equipment in the residential area in case of an emergency. UI is notifying the residents of the area about this situation.
Shelton officers will also be assigned to the area during both work periods to assist with traffic and other related issues.
