After robbing a gas station of cash and cigarettes, where would you go?
If you answered “a McDonald’s restaurant less than a mile away,” then you’ve found your kindred spirit in Audelan Chassangne.
That’s just what police claim Chassangne, 35, of Bridgeport, did after allegedly robbing the Fuel First station at 575 Main St.

Police were sent to the business first after receiving a report of an armed robbery at 6:20 a.m.
No one was injured, but police said Chassange — and another man they’re still looking for — stole about $600 and $1,200 worth of cigarettes.
Police were able to get a description of a vehicle — and part of the license plate, from a witness.
Ansonia Police Officer Bernard Oksenberg, while checking the parking lot of McDonald’s on Division Street, found a car matching the description.
Police from Ansonia and Derby responded — and found Chassangne inside the restaurant.
He was identified by a witness as being involved in the robbery.
A second suspect remains at large. Police said he was wearing a black jacket and jeans.
Chassangne is charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny and second-degree reckless endangerment.
He is due in Superior Court in Derby March 15.
