According to a statement released Thursday afternoon, police, fire, and EMS were sent to Roosevelt Drive near Argonne Terrace at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said a vehicle traveling east on Roosevelt Drive (heading in the direction of Derby) crossed a double-yellow line on a curve and crashed into a vehicle heading in the opposite direction.

Three people in the vehicle heading east were killed — a female driver, a female passenger, and a toddler in a rear seat area.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries.

Speed is considered to be a factor in this crash,” according to Seymour police.
