The Rotary Club of Seymour-Oxford will be holding its fourth annual pasta and meatball dinner on Saturday, April 27, at Trinity Church in Seymour. Proceeds from the event will support the Club’s college scholarship fund from which annual awards are made to students from Seymour and Oxford.
Sponsors for this event are now being sought. There are three levels of sponsorship available suitable for businesses and ideal for personal messages honoring success or in memory of someone they’ve lost.
The $250 Bon Appétit Sponsorship includes color logo or name on the event banner and table signs, and a large B&W dinner placemat ad. This sponsorship includes six dinner tickets.
The $100 Table Sponsorship includes color logo on table sign, a large B&W placemat ad, and two dinner tickets.
The $35 Placemat Sponsor includes a black and white, business card-sized ad on the dinner placemats, ideal for congratulations to graduates, to honor or remember someone.
Event Sponsorship Forms are available by contacting the event chairperson, Joyce Barcley, at [email protected] or 203-881-0901. All sponsorship information, including graphic files, must be received by April 12, 2013.
Each year the Rotary Club receives numerous applications for its scholarship essay competition. However, as the economy has tightened, more and more applications are being received. Through this dinner and other fundraising, the Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club hopes to increase its scholarship fund enabling it to provide at least two scholarships for one student of each town.
Thanks to the generous support of the 2012 dinner’s sponsors and other fundraising efforts, the Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club Scholarship Fund at the Valley Community Foundation (VCF) has reached maturity. As the Fund grows, so will the annual disbursement for scholarships ensuring perpetual scholarship awards for our communities’ students.
This combined with continued fundraising will increase the number of awards the Club can make and the amount of the awards providing more financial support for our communities’ scholars.
Anyone may contribute to Rotary’s VCF Fund to help increase future scholarships for Seymour and Oxford students. Those wishing to contribute should contact the Valley Community Foundation at 203-751-9162 or visit its website at www.valleyfoundation.org.
The Pasta and Meatball dinner is prepared and served by Club members, their families, and community volunteers. The dinner’s recession-busting price remains at only $10 per person (children under 5 are free) and includes three courses.
Take-out orders are available!
