The Emmett O’Brien Technical High School employee who was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a minor was arraigned in Superior Court in Derby Thursday.
No more details about the alleged crime became available, though, because the arrest warrant for Debra Anne Lasasso has been sealed.
Lasasso, a 1999 graduate of the school who is the school’s head cook, was charged in December by state police for two counts of second-degree sexual assault.
One of the two charges is being heard at New Haven court because the alleged crimes happened at two locations in two different judicial districts.
The complaint originated from the Prindle Avenue school and involved a 17-year-old, but state police did not elaborate on details of the alleged incidents.
The victim in the case was not injured, according to a summary from state police.
Lasasso briefly appeared Thursday with her attorney David Dworski.
Dworski said he needed time to review the warrant and the police report, and the case was continued until Feb. 11.
Lasasso is scheduled to appear in District Court in New Haven Friday.
