There are still some seats available for this summer’s Junior Police Academy at the police department.
The police academy is a summer program for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.
It is designed to help students develop an appreciation for law enforcement, as well as exposing them to the operations of the police department.
There is no cost to participate, although participants are required to attend all six sessions.
The sessions are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays beginning Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. until noon.
The session ends Aug. 14.
