State Sen. Rob Kane, R‑Watertown, will be the featured speaker today, Sept. 28, when The National Federation of Independent Businesses hosts the first in a series of events called “NFIB Evenings with Entrepreneurs.”
The event is set for 5:30 p.m. at the 121 Restaurant, 7 Juliano Drive, at Waterbury-Oxford Airport.
The topic will be “Building Business and Creating Jobs in Western Connecticut.”
Kane will address concerns and discuss the economic development zone he has proposed for the area around the airport. Gov. Dannel Malloy recently vetoed Kane’s bill to create the zone.
