A public hearing on the Seymour school and town budget is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 6 at Seymour Middle School at 211 Mountain Road.
The Board of Finance set the date during a meeting Tuesday.
As it stands, Seymour residents are looking at a 1 mill tax increase.
The $50.69 million proposal for 2011 – 2012 — if approved by voters — would mean residents with homes assessed at $200,000 would see a tax bill increase of about $200 next year.
The finance board will meet again at Town Hall on April 7 to make any last minute adjustments.
The $50.69 million budget proposal includes $29.8 million for the Board of Education.
Total spending is up 2.68 percent.
The town-wide budget vote is set for April 26 at the Seymour Community Center, 20 Pine St.
