The Seymour Police Department will be conducting a DWI sobriety check point on Route 67 in Seymour from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.
Officers will be checking for drivers who may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The check point is partly funded from a grant that the Seymour Police Department received from the State Department of Transportation Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program.
Besides the use of sobriety check points, the grant also helps pay for additional officers to patrol the streets throughout the year looking for drivers who may be operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
