Seymour First Selectman Endorses Klarides-Ditria

My parents always taught me that to be successful you need to surround yourself with the right people, people that will not only work hard themselves, but also consistently push and challenge you to do the same. Over the last 5 years, I have been fortunate to have one of those people in Deputy First Selectman Nicole Klarides-Ditira.

FILE PHOTOShe has been a true partner, advisor and friend not just to me, but also to the people of Seymour. We have accomplished a great deal together and that is why I am supporting her to become the next State Representative for the 105th District.

Having worked closely with her, I know that Nicole has the tools necessary to be successful in Hartford. I have seen her work with residents and address their issues and concerns. I have seen her approach to long-term strategic planning and her ability to prioritize budget concerns. Most importantly, I have seen her stand up for her convictions and fight for what she believes is in the best interest of the people she serves.

Those who question her reasons for entering this race simply don’t know Nicole.

They don’t know the work ethic and business acumen she learned from her grandparents. They don’t know the sense of community and the desire to help others that she learned from her parents. They don’t know the genuine concern that she has as a mother of a teenage son growing up in the uncertain and continually worsening Connecticut economy.

Nicole has also watched her sister Themis for many years in Hartford and knows exactly what she needs to do to be impactful for the residents of the 105th District. She is well equipped and prepared to take on the challenge of working to get Connecticut back on track.

I don’t share this endorsement lightly. I have been friends with Nicole’s opponent, Theresa Conroy, for many years and have always had a great relationship with her, but this isn’t about friendship. It is about who I think is the right person to represent us in Hartford.

Nicole and I have worked together closely over the last 5 years. We have faced real challenges, but know that Seymour is a better place than it was when we took office.

The potential of losing her as my Deputy is a sacrifice I am will to make because I know it is in the best interests of not only the town I love, but also the entire 105th District.

She has the ability, experience and dedication needed to do the job so I ask that you join me on November 8th in voting for Nicole Klarides-Ditria for State Representative to the 105th District.
