First Selectman Paul Roy has named a committee for the purpose of selling town owned property at 98 Bank St.
The Town of Seymour currently owns the building but recently the property has become cost prohibitive for the town to maintain.
The First Selectman would like the committee to come up with a plan to market the property.
Marketability, price and real expectations of the time frame to be able to sell the building are some questions the committee would need to answer.
Those named to the committee are former State Representative Theresa Conroy, Realtor Bill Alberti, Board of Education member James Garofolo and former educator and Coach Paul Sponheimer.
The committee will meet with the First Selectman and discuss all possibilities.
They will then meet on their own to create a plan of action for the Town. It is expected that the committee will make a recommendation by early April.
