The Seymour Founder’s Day Association recently awarded two scholarships to Emmett O’Brien senior Shelby Betts and Seymour High School senior Rory O’Connor. The students had applied, interviewed and were selected for the Founder’s Day Internship/Scholarship program.
Shelby and Rory assisted the Seymour Founder’s Day Board of Directors with the extensive planning and running of the event which had over 200 vendors and thousands in attendance on June 5th of this year.
Shelby will be attending Southern Connecticut State University this fall pursuing a degree in education and Rory will attending basic training to serve in the United States Marine Corps.
