Seymour Historical Society To Host Craft Fair And Santa Visit

SEYMOUR — Kids can visit Santa and families can shop for handmade crafts at two special holiday events hosted by the Seymour Historical Society on Saturday, Dec. 4, and Sunday, Dec. 5.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, Santa Claus will make his annual visit to the Katharine Matthies House in Seymour from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Kids can visit with him – and parents can take photos – at no charge.

On Sunday, Dec. 5, the Historical Society will host a Holly Day Fair featuring local artists and crafts vendors selling their works. Additionally, each room of our museum will be beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme from years past. The fair will run from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. There is no entry fee.

On both days, guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items for needy families. Those donating items will receive free raffle tickets for a drawing for a supermarket gift card. On Sunday, Holly Day Fair guests who wear an ugly sweater” will also receive raffle tickets for craft items.

The Seymour Historical Society is located at 59 West Street, near the Trinity Episcopal Church.
