Seymour Holiday Ornament Available For Purchase

Show pride in the Town of Seymour and the U.S.A. through purchase of a stocking stuffer that reflects the town’s rich history, one that will gleam proudly on the recipient’s holiday tree or year-round personal or business display.

The Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club has designed and made available the first Christmas ornament in the “Seymour Ornament Series.”

It launched this month with a limited edition 2013 ceramic ornament featuring the official seal of the Town of Seymour.

The seal is identical to the one which appears on signs advertising entrance to the town limits and installed by maintenance crews earlier this year.

Only 100 ornaments are available.

Ornaments are approximately 2.5 inches in diameter and feature the official town seal hand-painted in color on the front side.

The graphic depicts a Pequot Indian against a waterfall backdrop representing the first settlers of the land.

The back of the ornament has been left blank for your own custom inscription which can be done with a felt pen.

There are two styles of ornaments to choose from. The top of the festive holiday ornament features traditional holiday greenery, berries and pine cones.

A plain ornament, without holiday decoration, is available for hanging year-round.

Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club President, Nancy Valentine says, “Such a wonderful way to express community pride with our holiday ornament of the Town of Seymour seal! Share it with your family and friends as you celebrate the history of Seymour with this commemorative ornament in time for the 2013 holiday!”

Cost is $20 each and includes hanging ribbon and gift box. The ornaments are hand-made, decorated and boxed in the USA.

Purchase the ornaments at the Naugatuck Valley Health District Office (lower level, side entrance), 98 Bank Street, Seymour.
