The Seymour Tradition fastpitch softball program will be conducting an open tryout for its 2011-12 14U team on Saturday, July 23 at Seymour Middle School softball field from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rain date is the next day. Players born in 1997 and 1998 are eligible.
The team will embark on a rigorous schedule for 2011 – 2012, including a fall tournament in New York, Fastpitch Nation indoor league in December to March, weekly practices from January to March at Valley Batting Cages, and several tournaments in June, July, and possibly August.
Players will also have access to top area hitting and pitching coaches. Head coach for the team will be Jamie Yakushewich, assistant softball coach at Seymour High School.
We are looking to secure the services of some of the top area talent. Even though the team is based in Seymour, we invite any softball players in surrounding towns to try out.
