The Seymour High School Sports Hall of Fame sent this letter to the Valley Indy recently:
“Hello friends of Seymour High School Athletics,
Thanks to the generous support of our community, 11 individuals were inducted into the Seymour High School Sports Hall of Fame at a banquet last November.
The inductees included two former coaches and nine former athletes. Plaques for each inductee are proudly displayed in the hallway outside the gym.
Preparations are currently underway for the next induction and we are again reaching out to friends and neighbors for financial help.
The Seymour, Oxford and Beacon Falls communities still have a wealth of deserving athletes waiting to be recognized for their contributions to the Seymour High School’s sports legacy.
All donations go directly into operating expenses and are acknowledged in our banquet program.
Any donation of $25 or more will also entitle you to ad space in the program for yourself or your business.
We are also offering one free ticket to the next induction banquet for a donation of $250 or more.
Please feel free to join us at our meetings held the first Wednesday of the month at the high school, room number 109 at 7 p.m.
