Seymour police said a Milford man attacked his cousin and her male friend with a lamp at her Seymour apartment early Saturday.
The attack took place at about 4 a.m. at the woman’s Roberts Street apartment.
Police charged James Brandalick, Jr., 28, with second-degree assault, breach of peace, fourth-degree criminal mischief and refusal to be fingerprinted or photographed.
Police also arrested another man — Zachary Granda, 35, of Ansonia — and charged him with second-degree assault and breach of peace. The two men will be arraigned at Superior Court in Derby on March 7.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with facial and bodily injuries, according to Seymour Police spokesman Lt. Paul Satkowski.
The man was treated at Griffin Hospital for similar injuries.
Their status was not known Tuesday.
Police were called to the scene by neighbors, after the male victim knocked on their doors, partially clothed and injured.
Satkowski said the apartment had visible signs of a fight, including blood and a broken window.
