First Selectman Paul Roy is looking for volunteers.
The Board of Selectman approved the formation of a committee to search for grants that the Town of Seymour may be eligible for. The First Selectman is hoping that a few citizens will be interested in helping the Town because the use of grants allows the Town to do more than the Town Budget allows.
Volunteers are also needed at the Senior Center as the Aging Commission is looking to add programs at the Center which is located at the Seymour Community Center.
The Seymour Board of Education recently donated used computers to the Center and with a grant that the Town received from AT&T. The computers were installed for use by the Seniors.
Volunteers are needed to help the Seniors learn the use of computers. A free weekly exercise program is being added as well under the supervision of Missy Orosz of the Recreation Department.
Interested volunteers may call the First Selectman at 203-888-2511.
