Seymour Man Arrested In Connection To Shots Fired Report In Shelton

SHELTON — A 32-year-old man was charged on Saturday in connection to a shooting in downtown Shelton. No injuries were reported.

According to a statement from police, Roberto Cales of Seymour was involved in a fight with several people at Center Street Social in downtown Shelton as the establishment was closing on Feb. 11.

Police said four shots were fired, and an investigation by detectives led to Cales being charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police said the people involved in the dispute left the scene before police arrived.

Cales is due in court Feb. 21, 2023.
