The Seymour Police Department in conjunction with the Seymour Stop and Shop Supermarket will be host the fourth annual “Toys for Tots” toy drive Saturday at the Seymour Stop and Shop at 15 Franklin Street in Seymour.
Also, co-sponsoring this event will be radio station KC101, Griffin Hospital and Mario D’Addario Buick Nissan dealership in Shelton.
The toy drive will be held from 9 to 3 p.m. on Dec. 12 in front of Stop and Shop.
Members of the community are asked to donate an unwrapped new toy of the donator’s choice.
All toys will then be donated to TEAM Inc. located in Derby, CT who will then distribute the toys to local families who are in financial need of assistance.
Free face painting will be offered to “children” of all ages.
Radio station KC101 will be broadcasting live from the event between the hours of 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
Griffin Hospital will have its “wellness” bus on scene and will conduct free blood pressure screening and offer safety awareness information for the holidays.
Furthermore, the Seymour Police Department will display their new Emergency Service Unit vehicle as well as other emergency vehicles. And lastly their will be a special guest appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.
The community is asked to please participate in this event and donate a toy to help brighten a child’s holiday.
