
SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Jan. 14, 2025 through Jan. 21, 2025.
It is a partial list of calls, curated by The Valley Indy. The goal is to give the public a head’s up on what’s happening in the community.

Seymour police received 148 calls for service and made seven arrests between Jan. 14, 2025 and Jan. 21, 2025.
JAN. 14, 2025
1:38 a.m. Police responded to a call from a Balance Rock Road resident who said his neighbors were intentionally making noise to bother him.
9:49 a.m. Police took a call from a Molsick Road resident who reported she lost $500 in a Facebook scam.
11:15 a.m. Police were called to the scene of a two-car accident at the intersection of Skokorat Street and New Haven Road.
4:45 p.m. Police charged a 34-year old Monroe woman with violation of a protective order.
JAN. 15, 2025
1:37 a.m. Police issued an infraction for a winter parking ban violation to a vehicle parked on Partridge Drive.
11:52 a.m. Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash at Bank and Franklin streets.
5:34 p.m. A Halsey Street resident reported she received an email request for money, and if she didn’t comply, she would be blackmailed. Police advised the woman to block/ignore the email and to not divulge any banking or personal information.
8:22 p.m. Police charged a 54-year old Beacon Falls woman with reckless driving, illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and failure to drive right.
JAN. 16, 2025
3:49 a.m. A report for assistance was received about an elderly woman walking on Bungay Road. Police said the woman was fine and was in the road because that section of the road has no sidewalks.
6:43 a.m. Police were called to a North Main Street business for a report of a minor dispute between coworkers.
3:58 p.m. Police received a report about a man stumbling along Roosevelt Drive/Jefferson Street. The man complained about being dizzy and feeling nauseous. Police called an ambulance, which transported the man to Griffin Hospital.
7:15 p.m. Police responded to a complaint about a fight between youths at McDonalds on Bank Street.
JAN. 17, 2025
1:55 a.m. Police reported icy road conditions at Bungay and Canfield roads and contacted the Public Works Department.
11:09 a.m. An Oakwood Drive resident reported to police that an Apple air tag had been left on his vehicle, and he did not know how it got there. Police advised the resident to take the car to a mechanic if he got another ping to see if the air tag could be located.
1:48 p.m. Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at River and Bank streets.
4:03 p.m. Police charged a 42-year old Guilford man with illegally operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and first offense possession of a controlled substance.
5:09 p.m. Police were called to Boland’s Café on North Main Street about a woman throwing up in the parking lot.
7:06 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle that was flipped over on Rimmon Road near the Woodbridge town line. The vehicle was unoccupied.
10:43 p.m. A noise complaint was reported by a Balance Rock Road resident.
JAN. 18, 2025
1:13 a.m. A 911 caller reported that he received a call from a friend that had taken too many Benadryl pills and was parked at French Memorial Park. Police called ambulance and the individual was taken to Griffin Hospital.
7:36 a.m. Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Skokorat Street.
6:51 p.m. A Chamberlain Road resident called police about a dog barking all day.
10:00 p.m. Police charged a 65-year old Seymour woman with disorderly conduct.
10:30 p.m. Police charged a 58-year old Seymour man with disorderly conduct, physical threatening and second-degree unlawful restraint.
JAN. 19, 2025
1:30 a.m. Police responded to report of a large amount of debris in the roadway on New Haven Road, likely from an earlier car accident.
11:12 a.m. A Charles Road resident reported that the back window of her vehicle was shattered and possibly vandalized.
11:55 a.m. Police responded to a report of a lost dog in the town’s dog park on Moss Avenue.
8:15 p.m. A Southwest Road resident reported that his car was stuck in the snow on Great Hill Road. A plow truck was called and cleared the area.
JAN. 20, 2025
3:08 p.m. Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on New Haven Road.
3:23 p.m. A report of larceny was received by police about two males passing three, $100 counterfeit bills to purchase a battery at AutoZone on First Street.
9:46 p.m. Police responded to a call from a Bank Street business employee about a dark sedan that is always parked in the corner of the parking lot. Police said the driver is an Uber Eats driver that waits there for orders, because it is a central location, and there was no problem.
JAN. 21, 2025
12:43 a.m. Police were called for a report of a verbal dispute on Silvermine Road near Microboard in the Silvermine Industrial Park.
1:48 a.m. Police charged a 65-year old Beacon Falls woman with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
1:59 a.m. Police responded to a report of a fight outside Boland’s Café on North Main Street.
