SEYMOUR – Police said a 49-year-old Derby man was arrested Dec. 8 for molesting a 14-year-old girl.

Uilton Dias is charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, police said in a prepared statement issued Monday (Dec. 11).

The CT Post identified him as the owner of Casa of Jiu-Jitsu in Ansonia.

Police said they received information in June accusing Dias of having an inappropriate relationship with the girl.

After a lengthy investigation by the Seymour Detective Bureau, it was determined that Dias was involved in a sexual relationship with the minor Juvenile. On at least one occasion, this sexual activity took place in the Town of Seymour,” police said.

The investigation resulted in a warrant for Dias’ arrest. He was held on a $250,000 bond pending a court date scheduled for today (Dec. 11) in Derby.
