Seymour Police Plan DWI Checkpoint

The Seymour Police Department will be conducting a DWI Sobriety Check Point along the Route 67 corridor within the Town of Seymour beginning on Saturday Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and ending at 3 a.m. on Sunday Dec. 2.

Officers will be checking for operators of motor vehicles who may be under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. The Sobriety Check Point is partially funded from a grant that the Seymour Police Department received from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program.

In addition, the grant also helps pay for additional officers to patrol the streets throughout the year looking for drivers who may be operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
