Seymour Pumpkin Festival Announces Royal Court

The Seymour Pumpkin Festival Association is pleased to announce our 2012 Royal Court selected from second- and third-grade students who attended Anna LoPresti School.

Royal Court selection was made prior to the end of the school year and announced this summer.

The 2012 King will be Tyler Ludaescher, Queen is Evelyn Rafferty, Pumpkin Prince is Noah Casini, Pumpkin Princess is Alina Britto, Prince Charming will be Patrick Schmidheini, and Cinderella will be Peyton Dauphinais.

The 47th annual festival will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at French Memorial Park in Seymour. The 2012 Royal Court will be crowned at opening ceremonies set to begin at 10 a.m.

The festival raindate will be Sunday, September 30, 2012. Free bus transportation will be provided from Chatfield/LoPresti School on Skokorat Street. Please follow the posted signs to designated parking.

Also in attendance this year will be our Royal Court Queen from 1996, Kaitlin Wasko. We are pleased that Kaitlin has continued her involvement with the association for several years. Kaitlin currently serves as the festival association’s Vice President.

We encourage young children to participate in our costume and pumpkin decorating contests held at 12 noon near the Festival Headquarters.

Admission is free. No vehicle traffic, pets, or bikes are allowed in the park on festival day in order to help insure the safety of families attending the festival.
