Seymour Resident Is Notre Dame West Haven Salutatorian

Notre Dame High School of West Haven President Robert F. Curis is pleased to announce the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2019. Brian LoCicero ​‘19 of Milford was named the Class of 2019 Valedictorian, while Robert Damjanovich ​‘19 of Seymour was named the Class of 2019 Salutatorian.

LoCicero, a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society, is a CIAC and CAS Scholar-Athlete. LoCicero also served on the Spanish Club executive board and served on the Student Council as the Vice President. 

He was a Class Officer for three years and was the Class President during his sophomore year. He earned the prestigious Yale Book Award, received the Spanish Department Award, and attained a Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. In addition to his academic success, LoCicero was a Peer Counselor and a leader on the indoor and outdoor track teams; he captained the cross country team. He will attend Washington University in St. Louis and plans to study economics and Spanish.

Damjanovich, a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Tri‑M Music Honor Society, also attained a Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. 

An Archdiocese of Hartford Summa Scholar, Damjanovich earned First Honors all four years at Notre Dame and was awarded the prestigious Harvard Book Award. 

Damjanovich served as an officer of the Ronald Reagan Debate Club and played the trumpet in the Notre Dame Band. He will attend the University of Connecticut in the fall and plans to study finance.

Notre Dame High School of West Haven is an all-boys Catholic, college preparatory school sponsored by the Brothers of Holy Cross.
