Seymour Residents Call Police After Hearing Possible Gun Shots

Seven residents in the Colony Road neighborhood called police Friday saying they heard gunshots at about 2:25 a.m.

However, responding officers checked the area and didn’t find anything.

There were no reports of any properties damaged from bullets or anything else to indicate a gun had been discharged.

A woman who lives on Colony Road said she heard what sounded like gunshots, then looked out of a window and saw three deer were in her front yard.

She assumed the noise were from poachers shooting at the deer, which left her more than a little uncomfortable.

She didn’t want to give the Valley Indy her name.

If they have guns and they know where I live, it’s not a great combination,” she said.

Seymour police spokesman Lt. Paul Satkowski said responding officers didn’t see any deer in the area.
