Seymour Teachers Attend Excellence in Education Celebration

The teachers at Bungay Elementary School and Chatfield-LoPresti Elementary School were recognized along with administrators Mary Sue Feige, Principal at Bungay and Dave Olechna, Principal at Chatfield-LoPresti at Aqua Turf in Southington, CT on Nov. 27, 2012.

The Elementary Curriculum Leadership Team from both Bungay School and Chatfield-LoPresti is comprised of representatives from each grade level, specialists as well. The goals of the team are to communicate and collaborate with each other to produce and develop core lessons and strategies aligned to the Common Core.

The team is implementing, refining and continuing to share best practices with colleagues throughout the district as a means of increasing student achievement for all students. This group of dedicated individuals exceeds the standard through their tireless efforts by reflecting, evaluating, and refining their work.

They are receptive to ongoing group feedback, reflection, and possible solutions. The success of the curriculum leadership team includes dedicated individuals who strive to educate and inspire all students, to enrich the experiences of our students, and to prepare our students to meet the challenges of an ever changing world.
