Seymour Tradition, a fast pitch softball program based in Seymour will be adding a 10U and a 12U team for the 2010 season. These teams will supplement the 11 year old and 13 year old teams next year.
To fill the rosters, Tradition coaches will be holding tryouts on Saturday, July 11 at Matthies Field, beginning at 8:00 PM (lighted field). The program had a very successful 2009 season with all players showing tremendous improvement.
The Tradition program is open to Seymour residents who also take part in the George J. Hummel LL softball program. We are looking for experienced softball players or talented athletes who would like to give softball a try. If a candidate did not take part in the GJHLL program this year, she will have to agree to play in the 2010 season to be considered for the Tradition program. Candidates for the teams must have been born in 1997 or 1999.
