The Shelton Adult Basketball program ended with the following winning teams: Action International in the ‘A’ Division tournament; O & G Industries in the ‘B’ Division; and Cahill/Danny’s in the ‘C’ Division.
In the ‘A’ Division final, Action International handled Porky’s Café by the score of 87 – 72. Nick Corkery led the way for the high scoring Action gang scoring 30 points, while John Ribas was best for the Porky group by registering a season high 42 points.
In the ‘B’ Division championship game, O & G Industries, with a fourth quarter surge, downed CDW 48 – 39 after leading by only three at the third quarter break. Jim Fisher led the victors with 10 points in a well balanced offensive display, while Tom Shields did his best to keep CDW in the game with a team high 12 points.
In the ‘C’ Division play, Rich Kopec was the strong weapon for Cahill/Danny’s in their win scoring 10 points which included four successful foul attempts in the closing minutes to seal the verdict. Paul Lazar was outstanding for the upstart Danny O’s as he scored a game high of 14 markers.
