The Shelton Assessor’s Office will be conducting field inspections into the fall for the Oct. 1, 2010 Grand List.
Inspections will be conducted for properties that have building permits.
Additionally, properties in sections of the city will be checked against current property records. If the Assessor’s records do not concur with the physical inspections, corrections will be made.
The assessment changes, resulting from inspections will be reflected against the July 2011 Tax Bill.
All Assessor’s Office inspectors will be in City of Shelton Motor Vehicles and have the proper identification.
