This time they caught him.
After chasing Juan Bulerin on foot Friday morning, police officers from Shelton, Bridgeport and the FBI shocked him with a stun gun and arrested him for allegedly robbing the Chase Bank on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton.
Bulerin, 42, of Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, and engaging police in a pursuit. He is being held on a $250,000 bond
On June 18, Shelton police said they also chased Bulerin when he allegedly drove away from the Chase Bank as workers inside reported a robbery. Police said Bulerin sped along Route 8 and was able to get away.
Police said Friday morning Bulerin tried to run away from police when they went to Bridgeport to serve an arrest warrant. According to a statement released by Sgt. Robert Kozlowski, Bulerin was combative with police on the scene. U.S. Marshals and the Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force also helped with the arrest, the statement said.
Police have already arrested a friend of Bulerin in connection with the robbery.
Carol Wadsworth, 46 of Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree hindering prosecution for allegedly lying to detectives about the incident. She was released on a $2,500 bond and will appear in Derby Superior Court on Monday.
