The Annual Blessing of the Animals honors St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
A Blessing of the Animals Prayer bookmark and an article about the life of St. Francis was given to each family bringing an animal for a blessing.
Many cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, and rabbits were individually blessed.
No horses or elephants this year!
