A River Road convenience store was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday, according to Shelton police.
The robbery occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday (June 22) at the Cumberland Farms at 819 River Road, police said in a prepared statement.
An employee told police that a man wearing a black hoodie and black ski mask entered the store and demanded money while displaying a handgun, police said.
“The male then left the store with an undetermined amount of money,” Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlwosky said in the statement. “The employee was not injured.”
Detectives are investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 203 – 924-1544.
