Two people were sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after a two-car crash at the intersection of Waterview Drive and Constitution Boulevard in Shelton.
Two ambulances, as well as firefighters from Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company and the Pine Rock Park Fire Company, were dispatched to the scene about 10:50 a.m. on a report of a crash requiring extrication.
Emergency responders were on scene for about a half-hour, with the extrication of one of the people involved in the crash taking about 20 minutes.
Police said both vehicles were occupied only by their drivers, both of whom were transported to hospitals.
Police said further information was not yet available Wednesday afternoon, but that the crash is under investigation and no enforcement action had been taken.
